Biography

Allready in early years he has developed a special affinity for the music. After first trips in the music range of Rock, Metal and Punk, he had jet not discovered with 14 years the love for bands such as Depeche Mode, New Order or some EBM Stuff like Front 242, Ministry, Skinny Puppy or Nitzer Ebb. But the arising Techno wave had not past his attention without a scratch. And in such a way the relation to electronic music of all kinds grow ever more. It started in 1996 with “a Atari ST” and a “Akai Sampler” with the Home production. And later various Synth's and sound modules were added to his equipments. 1998 he created the band "matter OF taste" with a well-known singer, which started “electronic- influenced Pop. Unfortunately this name was already accupied. Therefore they changed the name (2003) to “Ground emission” which brought out (2004) the “E:P definition OF Love” on the market. From 2004-2006, he produced and moderated successfully for more then 2 years the radio show "electronic fusion" on “www.Kinoradio.DE”. At the beginning of the new Millennium the first Collaboration with other Artists like Alex Kvitta proved to be successful. Currently both together are to be seen live as Mignon AT. The first release will be out now on April 2008 called “Lost in Chicago EP”. Since the 1st of January 2009, Thommy has started a new digital label called "Toolfunk-Recordings ". The Label is focused on deep, minimal house and techno stuff. He produced some reduced and deep house tracks in almost the same manner like minimal-tech or simple melodic dub sound. His collaborations with Laura Auer on Wuenschenswert and Toolfunk are especially rewarding, as is his partnership with Disque on Toolfunk-Recordings too. At the end of 2012 Thommy starts an new Techno Label called "Prism Records" with his long time friend Frank Kvitta.
